Highfield Estate
|
With a
northerly aspect toward the Richmond Ranges, the “Tower” at Highfield Estate
is one of Marlborough's most visited sites. Views encompassing the Wairau
Valley vineyards form a lasting impression of Marlborough as a unique wine
making region.
Situated on the Brookby Ridge with unsurpassed views
of Marlborough's Wairau Valley vineyards.
The restaurant specialises in matching delicious fresh local produce with
the ever so food friendly Highfield wines. Constantly changing seasons and
delvelopment of the wines keeps the menu exciting and varied. The wine and
food harmonies are created by the Chef and the Winemaker to give you one of
the best culinary experiences in the Wairau Valley. |

This modern Tuscan-style winery
has so far produced a commercial range of wines marked by safety rather than
excitement. Its premium label, Elstree, has rarely commanded the quality or
flair expected within its price bracket. The one exception is the Elstree
Cuveé Méthode Traditionnelle, a light, elegant, blend of equal parts
chardonnay and pinot noir. The arrival of winemaker Alistair Soper may
improve past performance.
