Formofossen
Formofossen is a powerful river waterfall on the Sanddøla. It's reported to
drop 34m though I doubt the main plunge is that tall. Look for signs leading
you to this waterfall as you drive north on the E6 near the township of
Formofoss.
This waterfall is more known for fishing (as most river waterfalls in Norway
are), but you might notice some signs indicating there are parasites that
are wiping out a large portion of the salmon population upon which lots of
freshwater fishing relies on. To my knowledge, it's still not known what
caused this parasite outbreak. |
